Full curves ahead

By Jody Marich

Vogue Italia's June cover will feature three plus-sized models showing off their voluptuous curves.

After the launch of Vogue Curvy in February, models Tara Lynn, Candice Huffine and Robyn Lawley were chosen to flaunt their curves in the issue to help highlight the beauty of curvier women.

Editor-in-chief Franca Sozzani, an advocate in fighting against anorexia, has not only created a campaign to shut down websites promoting the disease but she has also been inspired to show that every body is beautiful.

"I did some research and found that there are countless pro-anorexia websites and blogs that not only support the disorder, but also urge young people to be competitive about their "body shape" Sozzani explains."Fashion has been always blamed as one of the culprits of anorexia, and our commitment is the proof that fashion is ready to get on the frontline and struggle against the disorder."

With her June cover titled, Belle Vere, or True Beauty in English, Sozzani's mission is beginning to be heard, loud and clear.
